Renaming the Chevrolet Malibu and Colorado to Popular Locations
Throughout the history of the automotive industry, automakers named some of its vehicles after popular locations throughout the United States, such as the Chevrolet Malibu and the Chevrolet Colorado. Gregg Young Chevrolet wants to know what you think would happen if these models were renamed to the places where the models are most popular. Is the Chevrolet Malibu popular in Southern California or the Chevrolet Colorado a hit in The Centennial State? It turns out that both models would be renamed based on where they are most popular. The Chevrolet Malibu would be changed to the Chevrolet Garciasville. Fifteen percent of new cars that are sold in Garciasville, Texas are Malibu models. The Chevrolet Colorado would be renamed to the Chevrolet Montana since two percent of total vehicle sales in Montana are the Chevrolet Colorado. Colorado actually ranks 34th for how popular the midsize pickup truck is among consumers.
