Chevrolet Experiences Incredible Year in Motorsports
Chevrolet experienced a terrific year in motorsports as the brand took home 11 championships throughout 2015. Out of the 11 championships, 6 were manufacturer’s titles and 5 were driver’s titles. For the fourth straight year, the automaker was able to win the Verizon IndyCar Series championship. The racecar was equipped with a new aerodynamics kit and a twin-turbocharged 2.2-liter V-6 engine. During the entire racing series, the brand received 16 poles and 10 victories. Corvette Racing was a champion in 24 Hours of Daytona, 12 Hours of Sebring, and 24 Hours or Le Mans. For the 13th straight year and 39th time overall; Chevrolet took home the Sprint Cup manufacturer’s championship. Chevrolet was even successful on the drag strip as Eric Enders Stevens won the Pro Stock Championship and the automaker being on top after the conclusion of the NHRA Manufacturer Bowl.
