Chevrolet Announces Michelin Corvette Challenge
Chevrolet had a major announcement at the 2015 SEMA auto show regarding the start of the Michelin Corvette Challenge racing series. The racing series will entail amateur drivers competing against one another in identical Corvette Stingray race cars throughout 2016. It is quite a hefty price tag to participate in the racing series, but it will be worth your while. The Z51 Corvette Stingray itself will cost $116,000. The racecar features carbon-fiber braces, racing seats, a T1 suspension kit, a Z06 PVC system, and two sets of Forgeline Wheels, as well as one set of Michelin Pilot Sport GT Competition tires. You will also receive a custom racing suit, racing school, and Spring Mountain Motor Resort & Country Club Membership for one year. Additionally, each race weekend will cost around $7,900. That cost will also include pre-event mechanical preparation, fuel, social and marketing team accessibility, and more. The total cost will be $179,200 to participate in the Michelin Corvette Challenge, but Gregg Young Chevrolet would enjoy every minute if we got the chance to participate.
