1954 Corvette on Display at St. Louis Art Museum
A black 1954 Corvette was borrowed from a local owner to be on display at St. Louis Art Museum’s newest exhibit. Dubbed “St. Louis Modern,” the exhibit highlights the city’s influence on modern design during the period between 1935 and 1965. It was no question that the 1954 Corvette had to be one of the main displays in the exhibit. Some of you may be wondering how that is when the Corvette is currently manufactured in Bowling Green, but the Corvette was actually built at St. Louis Truck Assembly between 1954 and 1981. The 1954 Corvette is still in mint-condition as if it rolled off the assembly line yesterday. If any of you are traveling to St. Louis in the near future, Gregg Young Chevrolet urges you to check out this piece of St. Louis history.
